Chris's comment on 2020-12-12 15:59:54:

1 John 3:5: "And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin."

Verses, as the above, or where we read that Jesus has removed our sins, etc. primarily show us that Jesus' coming & shedding of His Blood, was God's basis to be able to forgive us our sins, Hebrews 9:22. Without Jesus' death & resurrection, payment for sin, hence forgiveness of sin, could never be made. So, in "taking away our sins", it's implied that we're forgiven both at the time of our coming to Christ for salvation & in our on-going experience in our Christian walk. The efficacy of His Blood is available to all who come with their sin, confessing to God.

Being born again of the Spirit, doesn't remove the fact that we're still in bodies of flesh, corrupted by sin. The purpose of the Spirit's Work is to reside in the believer & transform his spirit from one given to sin to one given to holy living. Does this make us sinless & unable to sin? Never. The only way that could happen is if God, in the process of transforming our spirits also gave us new bodies untainted by sin, as in the pre-Fall days. While in this "body of death", temptation to sin will always be at our door - we will always be engaged in war between the spirit & the flesh, Galatians 5:16,17. And at times, we will lose the battle, but thanks be to God Who forgives us & gives us victory through His Son. Our only escape from sin's pull on us is through our death or translation.

Adam's comment on 2020-12-12 10:32:16:

It's both. Yes, Jesus offers all of us a free gift, however, it's conditional. The condition is that we believe, repent, confess our sin, accept that Jesus is Lord and God's son, and follow Him. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/become-a-christian.php

Randy's comment on 2020-12-11 22:18:20:

So which is it? Did Jesus take away all of our sin? Or are we still yet sinners? Have you not read...the flesh profits nothing. Make no provision for the flesh! (Stumbling stone)

David W Black's comment on 2020-10-19 10:59:55:

Just trying to help. It makes a huge difference to place yourself in the right church. The Bible names the right one as the Church of God. I go to a congregation of the Church of God, at Mercersburg, PA. We are not pentecostal; speaking in tongues is not proof of the Holy Ghost; a holy, sin free, righteous life is proof however, and is recognized by God as being right.

In the US, there are several true Church of God congregations: Mercersburg & Connoquenessing PA, Manassas & Waynesboro VA, near De Graff and near Hamilton, OH, Corbin, KY, near Hayden, ID, Iaeger/Harmon Branch, WV, Brandon, FL, Birmingham & Huntsville/Chase, AL, Porter, OK, Mattoon, IL, Avondale, AR. These represent the ones known in the US to be in fellowship and are standing true. There are other congregations around the world; these just represent here in the US. Near any of these US locations? Want truth and correct Bible teaching? A God called pastor is at these locations. Revelation 18:2 says Babylon is fallen vs 4 says to come out. So if or when you come out of false churches, here's where to go, to find truth, salvation from sin. Ep. 4:4 tells us there's 1 body, 1 Lord, 1 faith... these locations are part of that 1 body. 1 Co. 1:10 we're admonished to speak the same thing; not languages like English, Spanish, etc. but in doctrine. There is one doctrine these congregations follow; having rightly divided truth as in 2 Tim 2:15. If you desire true preaching that delivers from sin, and keeps you on the path God wants for you, attend one of these locations, repent from sin, cease the sin business, be taught about sanctification, obtain it by prayer when you remain sinless, then be fully saved and pleasing to God. If you want more info, just ask.

Chris's comment on 2020-09-11 22:48:09:

To Edify simply means to encourage, uplift or to give moral or spiritual benefit to someone.

In Eph 4:29, Paul was dealing with the sort of things we might talk about. Many then spoke useless or accusatory things of each other. Rather, they should use their tongue for another's benefit or blessing. See also James 1:26 and 3:5-8.

In 1 Thes 5:11, Paul was dealing with Christians in that Church that were fearful & despairing that those who had died would miss out on being resurrected at Christ's coming & also about the coming Day of the Lord. He encouraged them in these matters & told them to edify each other, especially those that were still fearful.

In 1 Tim 1:4, again Paul ministering to young Timothy, encouraged him to avoid matters & discussions that only gave rise to more questions & disputings that led to no fruitful outcome. Rather concentrate on matters that would strengthen & encourage other believers: things that blessed the hearer & had great eternal value.

What does Edify mean's comment on 2020-09-11 19:18:44:

Ephesians 4:29

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

1 Timothy 1:4

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

There is plenty of comment already written by people who study long hours on it.

Scroll down to the. 1-100 pages of past days, comment.

Yeah, it will take time to look through of all of that, but in it you will find gems of wisdom.

Like this: animals DO NOT have souls.

Good morning Andy, I suppose we all could copy, paste and post mostly the same scriptures on the comment page here on this website everyday, but how would that edify?

Andy G van den Berg's comment on 2020-09-10 05:18:10:

On 1 JOHN 3:1

By nature every person is born in sin through the sinful seed of their natural fathers and conditioned therein (1 Peter 1:23). For that reason and in order to become a son of God, which are born of God, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, a person must be 'Born Again' (John 1:12,13; 3:3-7; 1 John 3:9; 5:4).

By attending a man-made institution a few hours a week (Acts 7:48; 17:24), does not mean that a person can make a claim that they are followers of Christ and 'Born Again'. That is falsehood, as in truth they follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ (Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; Rev. 12:9). This is how Satan has transformed Himself into an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:13-15).

Only through 'True Repentance' will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters (Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God (Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived (Rev. 12:9), and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive (John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you (Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know Christ (Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1). It is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:14).

Okay! Texas is a good state. As you know California is huge and provides a great portion of this nation's food supply and almost all of those farmers are conservative folks. We are under evacuation now, cars are loaded. We are also trying to find farm ground homes for our neighbors.

Love to you Mishael.

To Carleton: It's 5:30 and I keep hearing this same song. It's for you. Search YouTube: psalm 23, sung by Carl Davis. The Holy Spirit is singing it. Do not be afraid. Be wise.

California is a divers place. I pray every year for Calif. firemen and they're families.

I have a burden to pray for Calif. Tell your kids there are jobs in South Texas; around Austin. Tech jobs. Lots of construction industry: all kinds. Tesla is building here. Two million have moved here From California the past 2 years. East Texas has big pine forests. :)

I don't know that much about Houston jobs.

California is not going to repent.

Pray much over this! Ok?

Psalm 18:2 "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

Philippians 4:6-8 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I agree together with you as you lift up missionaries and evangelists everywhere. We pray for the Peace of Jerusalem to be blessed with your favor for all their needs; great and small. Please grant them safety against all their enemies. Thank you for warring angels that encompass them.

In Jesus Name, so be it. Amen
