LC,

"did Jesus become God at ascension, baptism, incarnation or before the foundations of the world?"

The answer is, NONE of your options are correct.

Jesus never "became" God.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God."Joh 1:1-2

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."Joh 1:14

The Word was with God and The Word was God. And The Word was made flesh (Jesus)"

Jesus was God from eternity past, existing in Loving relationship with The Father and The Spirit as The Son, in One Divine Being that Christians refer to as The Trinity.

SkipVought's comment on 2021-03-12 21:28:52:

LC,

"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."Mat 12:31-32

Jesus said this to religious leaders who SAW and HEARD Him. They SAW the Works of The Holy Spirit at Jesus' hands, yet rejected Him thus blaspheming The Holy Spirit. Unforgivable!

Dear Lissous, I hope and pray that are at peace and rest in Jesus Christ whom was part of "us" in Genesis 1. A true Christian should know this peace and rest and have grace to live in this peace and rest while time remains.

:)

lissous Christos's comment on 2021-03-12 07:00:52:

All were in denial of what? I have been pondering exactly what you mentioned. What was I before my rebirth? I was already dead spiritually but I died with Christ.

So consider the question did Jesus become God at ascension, baptism, incarnation or before the foundations of the world?

And I? When was my spiritual death? Was it in the garden with my mother Eve? Was it when my father Adam ate it? Or when jesus was on the cross at his desension into Hell? Or was it at my conversion? Or is it daily?

As you can see from my name my theology is already decided on who I am in Christ. I do all thongs through Christ that strengthens me. It is not I who live but Christ in me.

Carleton's comment on 2021-03-12 01:01:47:

Hello, Consider the moment before you or anyone had their sins forgiven by faith and repentance in Jesus Christ. Ahead of that moment, all were in denial.

:)

lissous Christos's comment on 2021-03-11 23:17:12:

The unforgiveable sin is to deny that Jesus came in human body and that his spirit is still in this world. He wasn't worried about his body and those that were to kill it as he was a willing sacrifice. But beyond that, after he rose, after he sent his spirit. After he came back. To deny he is the Christ of the world that he is the son of the Father, that he and the Father are one, and then to deny his followers who have been born of God. Especially to deny Christ living inside the flesh of us. All of this is the unforgiveable sin.

Eva Rabon's comment on 2020-12-12 06:08:31:

I believe the unforgivable sin is not accepting jesus christ as the son of god and your lord and savilor.

Preacher man's comment on 2020-09-16 10:50:46:

Jesus explains this passage in John chapter 3 to Nicodemus. water is natural birth, showing Jesus was all man. Blood showing his bloodline, God, proving his deity. Jesus says, "I must be about my fathers business." talking about God.

BEING RECONCILED TO GOD's comment on 2020-08-30 21:29:47:

Richard, as long as we are on the side of life; there is still time to be reconciled, by the enduring Love of God.

2 Corinthians 5: 16-21

All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is: in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Stop here and read Exodus 33:11-23. And Luke 15:11-32. Hebrews 6:18 and 12:1-2

Lastly, 1 John 1:9

Satan has demons that keep an eye on us: what we do, say, read. They're invisible "spies". Ephesians 6. Satan uses the info collected, to ACCUSE you at the throne of God. You feel those accusations. However the Holy Spirit is still with you, convicting you about your sins. He desires to reconcile these things and stop the torment in your mind.

1 John 2:1 names Jesus as your ADVOCATE: your attorney. And He's sitting right beside His Father in heaven, NOW. Your name is still written in the Book of Life.

It's time now for you to pray. Confess your heart. Receive the cleansing power that is in the shed blood of Jesus. 1 John 1:2. Jesus already paid for it. It will be well with your soul, afterwards.

We all need to run to, 1 John 1:2 as soon as sin happens. We are soul and spirit encased in flesh. All that Bible reading makes the spirit man get bigger than the sinful flesh and the gullible soul. Hebrews 12:2, said, to RUN THE RACE. Win!

I love you brother and never feel that you are alone in this. You're blessed.

Get to know God the Holy Spirit, who is The Spirit of Christ. Book of John, ch 16

M.

Hello Richard, Have you ever had a born again repentance peace with God event in your life? Do you have this place of peace in your heart to go back to? Do you want to go back to that time in your heart where you had that peace and forgiveness? You have to want this to find repentance and power over willing sin. Pour out your heart, God in Jesus is a gatherer not a scatterer. Your confession is helpful too. Many are now praying because we know you are made like us, and we together can point each other back to peace. You do not need to answer any of my written questions they are for your heart only.

Richard's comment on 2020-08-30 13:44:04:

How about Hebrews 6 vs 4- 6, how can I come back to the lord after walking away and willfully sinning I cant seem to find peace with God, seems like I sinned away my day of grace, and know God is more real to me than ever. This horrible feeling like hell is waiting because I knew every time I sinned I was wrong.

T's comment on 2020-08-29 20:37:45:

Willful, continuous, unrepentant sin.. to sin unto death

stanjett's comment on 2020-08-29 18:43:25:

There is only one unforgivable sin. Cursing the holy spirit.

Richard's comment on 2020-08-29 18:03:00:

First off I want to thank all those that have taken the time to answer my questions on different bible verses, but i do have another one, in chapter 5 John says not to pray for anyone who has sinned unto death I have been told the only sin unforgivable is to die without Jesus I am not sure I believe that was the unpardonable sin that Jesus was talking about. So can anyone tell me what sin John is talking about?

I am a born again child of the living God : He is my heavenly Father : Though Faith I stand : I must act on that Faith that God has given to me otherwise I will not overcome the world : Be of Good courage : God will strengthen your heart : I have the victory , even when I don't look or feel like it as long as I walk by Faith : Faith pleases God : When His children are walking in Faith : HE RESPONDS !!!! Victory !!!

The analyses mentioned are very good but none speak about the wording of the passage, in particular the use of the word 'whatsoever' which denotes anything ranging from human beings to animals. Could someone shed a little light on the usage of the word please?
