Confessing Jesus With The Mouth's comment on 2020-09-05 15:54:50:

If they had confessed their belief in Jesus to you or others; that's what matters. Read these scriptures and be at peace in your heart about it. We don't hear what people pray in the middle of the night, alone in their bed. So, Believe the best.

Matthew 10:32

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Luke 12:8

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

Romans 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

1 John 4:15

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

John 12:42

Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

Romans 14:11

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Philippians 2:11

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Revelation 3:5

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Romans 15:9

And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.

John 9:22

These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

May Jesus be your Peace, Mishael

If you believed in christ, but never go to repent because of a sudden death( accident), how does God forgive us for sin?

Rosemary Hampshire's comment on 2015-06-04 10:41:19:

Am I going to be with Jesus the minute I die or am I going to be the "dead in Christ " and sleep for millions years until Christ returns ? 1Thessalonians 4 v 16 refers

MockingBird's comment on 2015-01-15 03:53:16:

Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God. You must back up scripture with scripture. When I got born again I was raised to new life in my spirit with Jesus Christ. When my body dies dead I will be raised to have a new body with God and Jesus.. Therefore I will be dead in Christ : but I will be raised to life with Jesus . Lord : Descend : voice : trump. Raised. That is what I see in the scriptures.

Amanda Burchett's comment on 2014-09-18 21:53:15:

Although this scripture is in reference to the rapture, it means so much more to me. Anyone that has ever struggled with the loss of a loved one, can find great comfort in this passage. In death, we are taught to believe the soul goes to Heaven when the body dies. No "body " really knows where the soul goes after the body has died. I believe it is found here in this scripture. The dead in Christ "rise " because their souls are still here. They are no longer suffering in their physical bodies. Their souls live on, perhaps in a state of rest or, maybe, they are the angels that walk among us. Not unlike the caterpillar and butterfly. The body is but a cocoon.

gwen's comment on 2014-07-03 20:05:20:

If the souls of the Believers who have died are already with Jesus, why do they have to rise? Their souls are not in those bodies. The Scripture is referring to the dead bodies. They will rise and be changed to glorified bodies and reconnect with their souls. Remember when Jesus came back and showed Thomas the marks in his hands. It was the same body, only glorified.

Rev.Evangelist chidinma Nnabugwu's comment on 2014-06-30 17:02:27:

That means the rapture. Those who slept in Christ will hear his voice and come fort while those who do not hear it will be torment after rapture. Because He said in John5v28 29 that those who are dead in Him shall come forth and those who are not, to the resurrection of damnation.

Dustin's comment on 2014-04-22 03:41:30:

I can see this meaning many different things but I agree with Paul. As Christians we must stand as one and live humble lives of love. The enemy is hard at work trying and in many ways succeeding to divide Gods people. The same way he tries to keep us focused on that which we do not need to know. We must focus on speaking truth to those who are lost and not become filled with doubt or fear. These are not of Jesus Christ. May Gods spirit reveal that which is true and in faith keep light and love alive in your hearts.

JCs's comment on 2014-01-30 12:14:08:

dead in Christ are them who are with Him, will be changed, receive there Glorified body too, flesh and blood cannnot inherrit the Kingdome of God, spirit went up flesh back to ground

Nona Loomis's comment on 2014-01-04 06:41:47:

I believe the passage is to be taken literally. Then, if that is so, a literal shout should be heard, literal graves opened, and a literal trumpet heard by true believers(those who love the things of God and love people). Those who profess to be Christians but love the things of the world and place self as a priority over others will be left behind and counted as non-believers. They will have to accept martyrdom to be redeemed.

kara's comment on 2013-10-31 03:21:50:

It simply means that those that have already passed away and are with Christ now will return with Christ
No one is dead in the grave waiting on Christ to return. There is no rapture. All will be here on earth. The rapture theory is a lie. Read the entire subject matter concerning this verse, not just the one sentence.

patsy's comment on 2013-07-24 16:41:59:

Death into the grave we die when baptized, into life we get resurrected when Spirit of God comes in ! When time for Rapture likewise ! The dead in Christ shall rise.. PRobebly like at the cross..all the dead raised first, so will it be at rapture I believe.. Dead saints will come out the graves an rise, an then the living saints will rise. However we will see, or generation to come will see.. MAy we all stay in JESUS ! amen

david's comment on 2013-06-29 01:30:24:

to david eubanks...

JESUS said that to the thief on the cross next to him.

when we are saved by GRACE, we are sealed into GOD'S right hand...nothing can take that that away.

when the crucifixion happened, we (them) were still under the law...10 commandments.

the term...'asleep in Christ' refers to the saints that have died in my humble opinion, after the 'mystery' that GOD kept since before the beginning of time.

when people were under the 'law', 10 commandants...they had to obey the law and seek atonement every year...by the shedding of blood...can you imagine that a large family of jews would kill young lambs and gather their blood and literally throw it on the family? it had to be done...washed in the blood!

GOD'S GRACE gives us immediate forgiveness for all sin because JESUS shed every ounce of his blood for on the cross.

GRACE is something given, not earned...this to me is why some many people that have near death experiences, say they didn't want to leave...can you imagine, being saved by GRACE, what it would be like to be asleep in CHRIST? talk about beautiful dreams!!!

again...my opinion.

GOD BLESS US ALL!

HIS WILL BE DONE!

Paul Voudrach's comment on 2013-06-22 09:37:40:

We have to remember that God is not a God of confusion. Why was the second epistle to the Thesselonians written? Because of confusion. Yes the dead in Christ shall rise first then those who follow Christ by faith shall rise. Let us be filled in Christ and worry not because God has already established the Way for His saints.

chris muteweri's comment on 2013-05-12 05:54:02:

and the dead in Christ shall rise first.....means that the other group shall remain dead for some time and this gives support to the doctrine of millennium

NATE's comment on 2013-04-21 00:45:52:

THE DEAD THAT WILL BE RISEN IS THE SAINTS WHO ARE HOLYGHOST FILLED AND HAVE DIED HERE ON EARTH, INCLUDING THOSE OF JESUSES TIME WHO HAVE REMAINED FAITHFUL TILL THE END...

David Eubanks's comment on 2013-04-17 16:19:30:

Jesus said, today you will be with me in paradise
If we die and are in paradise, who are the dead in Christ? I am confused but not as confused as the comments above.
