Andrew Slone. Indeed Paul was a true apostle to all the apostles were Chosen by Jesus as was Paul on the road to Damascus. Mathias was chosen by the apostles of on their own as a replacement for the fallen Judas. The only requirement for being an apostle the separates them from ordinary disciples is that they were Chosen by Jesus himself. Paul meets this criteria and Mathias did not. Peace and love to all.
