Have a look at these: Deut 32:1, 2; Prov 17:7; Songs 4:3 (though you'll need to apply it appropriately, if teaching on it); 2 Cor 2:1, 4; 3:12; Col 4:6; Tit 2:8. Hope something here is useful to you.

Looking for other passages in Scripture talking about 'unadorned' or plain speaking. Straightforward without having to be 'adorned' with a lot of fluff.
