I believe you're right about this. It wasn't that she became insignificant because of no further mention of her name, but that Jesus might only be seen & listened to through the preaching of the Gospel, to the exclusion of all others.

Question... is Acts ch1 v14 the last mention of Mary the Mother of the Lord Jesus?
Kwame Tawiah's comment on 2013-12-27 23:59:18:
The account of Acts 1:14 has nothing to do with rosary. Mary praying with the disciples of Jesus upon waiting for the Holy Ghost does not mean we should make any image of Mary to pray through it.The disciples were not praying through Mary, but Mary was rather praying with them.Jesus said ''..whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name,He shall give it you''John 16:23 KJV.Christ is the ONLY root through which we can pray to the father.NOT ROSARY.

i here to asure those who wallowing in babaric mind that rosary prayer is not find in bible. with my tremendous suppliment of rosary prayer is found in act 1:4,1:14
Alexander Christian's comment on 2011-08-27 17:52:38:
That means that Mary and her children changed their minds, after attempt to catch Jesus and (probably) send him to asylum, being sure that he is gone mad. That is described in the third chapter of Mark. But what about her blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which is an unpardonable sin? And what happened with the prophecy of Simeon who promised her the sword to pierce through her soul, Luke 2:35? Something badly stinks here...
