Sadly, this type of behaviour has been known to happen & leads to many of the congregation leaving the Church looking for somewhere else to worship. What happened to the Elders who appointed this man to lead the fellowship? You mentioned the 'founders' of the Church, but every Bible-based Church has to have elders that govern & administer the Church's affairs. They are primarily responsible for who leads, teaches & shepherds the flock. If only the one man is the Elder cum Pastor, then the Church is subject to his direction only & is not operating as Christ intended His Church to be. Is there any possibility for the concerned members to approach the man to discuss this matter & alert him to the biblical standards? However, ultimately only God can change his attitude & direction, or else, members need to look elsewhere to worship.

Verse 20-21 are saying the Lord is leading and we are to follow Him. He will help us.

By staying close to Him, he will build you up on your most holy faith. Your understanding of his wisdom will abound and be a treasury.

I would like to know how do you regain your Church after someone has come in and after 3 short years has run the founders of the Churches Family off and almost all the older congregation off that has been there from day one the founders passed with in the last 5-6 years This man was brought in to Pastor the Church but has completely turned it upside down and taken it over..These people have no one to ask how they can get it back..All they can do is pray and are so afraid that he will sell it.. Thank you

Mike and Chris,

In response to your comment concerning Genesis 1:3.

The "Light" of Genesis 1:3 is the Hebrew word "owr" meaning; to be or to make luminous. This Light is is the Light of the Father Himself.

The "luminary" created by God on the 4th day in Genesis 1:14-19 is the Hebrew word "maowr," a derivative of the primary word given in Genesis 1:3, and simply means a light, or a luminous body.

Chris's comment on 2020-06-17 03:46:39:

Mike, after you read Gen 1:3, have a look at verses 4, 5, 14-18. Do you think that these other verses have any bearing on verse 3? Though, your NT references were lovely to read & meditate on.

Jesse's comment on 2020-06-16 19:58:30:

John,

The tribulation period is a seven year period. To be more technical, the entire seven year period is known as the tribulation period, and the last 3 1/2 years is known as the Great Tribulation.

This last 3 1/2 years would be the time of Jacob's trouble as spoken of in Jeremiah 30:7. We see at the end of Verse 7 that it says "but he shall be saved out of it." This is referring to Judah and Israel. They will be spared from those last 3 1/2 years. These will be the 144,000 Jews who are told to flee into the mountains, probably the rock city of Petra. God will keep them from being harmed.

Mishael's comment on 2020-06-16 18:25:02:

You can search the word Tribulation when you enter this website: type it in the search box and copy the places in New Testament only, on a piece of paper.

QUESTION

Is the time of the Tribulation a 7 year period of time (from Daniel)?

I have heard the time of the Tribulation to be the time of Jacob's Trouble" (Jeremiah 30:7)

Genesis 1:3 KJV

(3) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

What God is really saying in Genesis 1:3 that He IS (Hebrew: hayah) Light instead of "let there be light". The "I AM" is light "I AM" light.

This is the first message to the earth that had become without form (with the form of His righteousness) and void of the knowledge of God and the heart of mankind became darkened. Mankind needs to have the knowledge of God declared unto him.

This is the message which we have heard of Him and is declared unto us: that God is lightand this message is found from the beginning in Genesis 1:3.

1 John 1:5 KJV

(5) This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

The message was from the beginning in Genesis 1:3 that was heard..the Word of life. This Word or Saying of life is that "God is light" and in Him is no darkness at all.

1 John 1:1 KJV

(1) That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

This light shines within our very own hearts when we hear the voice of Jesus who comes to open up the Scriptures to our ears. It is the witness of God within us about His Son whose voice we are to hear. It shines in a dark place (the heart). The bright and morning star arises within our hearts when we hear the voice of the Son interpreting the Scriptures.

2 Peter 1:19-20 KJV

(19) We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: (20) Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

"And there was light"as we are to become children of light when we have that light within us. While we have the light, we are to believe in the light so that we may be children of light.

MockingBird's comment on 2015-09-07 05:58:44:

God spoke faith : God is faith : We are made in the image of God : Therefore we , I can speak the same thing that God says in Faith and get the same results : What if God said that from this day forward every word you and I speak will automatically come to pass : a lot of us would die right on the spot : That tickeled me to death so we would say : instant death : So from now on I believe I should watch my words very carefully , seeing that God created all things by His words except for man He formed man with His own hands from the dust of the earth : Watching my words from now on !!!

it is only God who has the authority to speak to the problems which has become darkness in our lives, for his light glory to shine manifest in our lives.

Paul Aisa's comment on 2015-04-03 18:52:41:

Jesus is the Alpha Omega, the Beginning the End. The first creation of all. This light is Jesus. That light tonight will shine out of the darkness for us all this Holy Easter Vigil Saturday Night. Happy Easter.

Solomon's comment on 2015-03-16 01:18:22:

Jesus Christ died on Friday the day Man was created, nothing visible on earth happened on Saturday as it was a Sabbath day. On Sunday the first day of the week where light was created by the Lord God his son Jesus was raised from the death. His main purpose was to die for us for the light of life to be revealed to us through his rise from the death.

Genesis 1:16 God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, the lesser light to govern the night and He made the stars also. Verse 19 There was evening and there was morning, a Fourth day. The City does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. Revelation 22:5

Jacob's comment on 2015-01-22 20:12:12:

John 1:1 says it all.Jesus himself is the LIGHT spoken in the book of Genesis 1:3.
