in times now (2020) we are now having to be connected on phone lines and in some form of communication. God ( JESUS) should never be taken from our hearts and our thoughts, so as it speaks of assembling of ourselves together this is a sure way of uncertainty if we are truly for God are churches are separated our members are scattered seeking their strength and falling weak to divers temptations the word of God Should Always be in our hearts, minds, and spirit. We as christians should be as a spreading fire spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ never to feel that we are alone. we are together with the LORD.

Vincent Calvert's comment on 2020-09-13 19:04:07:

I agree. Assembling is merely coming together as a congregation (however big that may be) to edify and exhort one another as fellow christians. No walls to any building are necessary. However, as time went by, more people gathered and a building was just a matter of course. I do believe there is an "outside" church near where I live. Quite frankly, I think an outside church is a great idea. This corona virus thing has forced my church into the parking lot and God's creation, and it is very nice. Yes, weather will take a toll, which is why the walls of a church are handy, but I am willing to go with it.

Frank Garcia's comment on 2020-09-10 23:37:31:

Assembling of people means church not a building, in the days of Jesus Christians got together in homes. Now days we have the internet, cell phones, Bible studies, churches people coming together . the list is endless God bless you .

james gordon's comment on 2020-09-10 15:05:50:

I've looked and search and I'm just trying to be clear....the 25th verse says nothing about meeting in a building...so to speak in those days of the writer, there were no other forms of communication that could draw a closeness such as we have with technology today.....

There are so many people i've spoken to in reference to not being inside a church building, yet they are able to meet through a media platform...

question: Where in the bible does it state that the assembling is necessarily the inside of walls today....thanks, be bless.

Bendito Palavra's comment on 2020-08-20 22:57:21:

Most assuredly remission of sins happens on earth following blood atonement (Leviticus chapters 16 and 17). Yet only the blood of Jesus Christ is adequate propitiation, he being God in the flesh (Isaiah 53).

What Jesus demonstrated was that he had power to lay down his life and then take it again. (John 10:18).

Admittedly the character of Christians is too often a ready excuse for unbelief.

Marginal medicine majors on the malady while repudiating the remedy.

When the church has meetings GO. U get the message & we're there for others or ourselves to encourage . If one slips & falls pick him/her up. When the Body is join together in unity, God annoints His Body.

Olabode's comment on 2015-10-09 05:30:53:

Coming together as a brethren brings unity, cooperation and togetherness if and only if there is a true love. There are so many things that can bring brethren together, for example, encouragement, solving one brethren problem or the other, study God's word, prayer, evangelism, etc. We should not neglect the assembly of ourselves.

pastor david mutsharini's comment on 2015-01-18 00:08:43:

We grow better by coming together as the bible says iron sharpens iron for two is better than one.

Chas Traficante's comment on 2014-10-04 10:52:57:

Christ Himself sought after fellowship with His apostle 's. He asked them to join Him in prayer, feed the masses, grieve with Him over Lazarus, help in healing. Even the Father says in the beginning when He created that "It is very good " All believers should be able to recognize the difference between the gathering of the saints for worship or just fellowship to just conversation with a friend. Having said that I also realize that within the Church body there are our homebound brothers and sisters. It the duty of the Church to not forsake these beloved ones either. Pray for the home bound, the missionaries, our soldiers and all Christians that do not have the ability to gather

Mabel's comment on 2014-09-05 06:16:38:

Bottom line, after all is said what Hebrews 10 25 says is what matters , don 't be deceived.

Moses Njenga's comment on 2014-07-12 21:12:33:

It 's only when brethren gather together in unity that GOD releases HIS anointing to strengthen HIS body. A body can only funtion when it 's together.May we yield to HIS exultetion to enable HIM to bless us.

stanley's comment on 2014-07-12 00:05:46:

God is love and He wants us to have love.He so much desires that we be one as believers and he says that where two or three gather in my name I will be there in their midst. We need each other so that where one falls another one can help lifting him or her up.As iron sharpens iron so is the believer to a believer.we should not forget the fact that a prayer made in agreement is so effective.so brethlen let 's keep the habit of keeping togather with those especially that help us to grow spiritually

Isaiah Amos's comment on 2013-10-24 12:38:21:

It is good being together to share the words of God.

BSP's comment on 2013-10-24 10:14:09:

This verse shows the importance of not only meeting together, but also encouraging one another as we meet together. Life is full of many problems and things that can weigh us down, so when we meet together with fellow believers, we should look for ways to encourage each other. The last part of this verse shows that we need to be encouraging even more so as we behold the day of God's judgement drawing near. Now is the most important and vital time of much needed encouragement.

laurender's comment on 2013-10-23 20:37:47:

lets not give up on being together

Gloria's comment on 2013-10-05 13:54:03:

It is great to be with A Body of Believers who truly love God and wants what God wants. Especially in the times we are in this scripture comes to life even more. You have to know Who You believe in and why. You gain strength from your church family and of course DAILY BIBLE READING AND PRAYER!!!

Lewis Hickman's comment on 2013-09-10 18:10:20:

This is First and foremost for the Hebrews as in the message of Gospel itself (Just as The Lord told the gentile women asking for a healing gift, He stated that gifts were first for the "children" the scattered nation of God). That being understood first, let us lay aside Proxy Religious
Traditions of Ceremonial worship. If you do not understand that last sentence: I am saying Mass,Sunday Worship Service Wed Service, Seven Day of Advent Sabbath(Sat) or any scheduled service time is not what is being spoken of. The Hebrews were told not to FORSAKE the assembling of themselves together as the manner of some. Some were leaving the fellowship of believers (not associating with Brothers in Christ in any manner)
Jews would not only not hate the believers but treat them as lepers (virtually unclean) and even avoid speaking with them. Some did forsake and went back to trusting in the Law along with the Blood of Goats and Bulls.
speakers/Preachers who use this verse to keep people in the pew on Sat/Sun/Mass or whenever are men seeking continue their revenues of lucre of or they are following a gentile teaching that is merely a tradition of ceremony. We should worship every day. If you don't always attend on a given set day it has nothing to do with this verse. If deny this truth pastor God will remove you. Amen

D.'s comment on 2013-08-04 12:05:02:

This is the point. The Church (God's saved people) as a body, would cease to exist if each member could just go it on their own and do whatever one liked. Pretty soon, it becomes more important to go to the ball game instead of meeting for worship. Any other distraction that replaces meeting with the saints for the purpose of worship leads away from Christ. Our one desire should be Him, not our desire to go to the beach or shopping, festivals, sports, etc. This will make for a weak walk and will eventually lead one away from Christ.

It is important to also remember that when we ***emble, that is for the purpose of worship- and to keep the commandment and institution of the Lord's Supper and the sacrifice He made. Kinda hard to do these things when you are busy with worldly pursuits. Meant for your thoughtful consideration.
