This single virse of scripture undoubtedly contains some of the most vital of all spiritual secrets the true Israel of God must learn to employ to maintain their faith and preserve a remnant seed in the earth during the days ahead of any thing to be found in scripture.

My thought on this scripture is that God is showing us how to interpret patience. In returning and rest " be anxious for nothing but in all things by prayer and supplication let you request be made known unto God ( Philippians 4:6 , trust in the lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding, but in all thine ways acknowledge him (Proverbs 3:5-6). These cross reference scriptures support that old testament scripture. other attributes that were carried into the new testament were quietness and confidence , "this is the confidence that we have in him , that , if we ask any thing according to his will , he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask , we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him" 1st John 5:14-15
