Watching the news this morning, which has been consistently bad lately, I had the thought that smart, ambitious, selfish people, cause most of the troubles of The world. I did a google search on this and found That James 3:16 says very much the same thing, which I remembered reading, though I had forgotten it, but perhaps not.

It is discomforting to discover that the source of all our trouble is us. It is just the way of human nature to lean toward evil. There is no cure for that.

I am surprised that so few ministers ever speak about the evilness of envy, emulation and rivalry in churches. It is one of the worst sins yet the least talked about. It pervades in christian circles, hence the need to address. It is very destructive and insidious.

I believe the whole Bible because it's the truth. Where there is envying and strife there is a whole lot of confusion.
