Faith, trust and belief in Jesus Christ is imperative. He was God in the flesh. John 1:1...also refer to Jesus ' conversation with Nicodemus John 3:16.

This verse shows the transition, from Adam sin death to Jesus righteousness Life but the linking object is Grace through faith saving faith .

I am very sorry for repeating the same comment. The last word should be from death to life not from life to death.

This verse says a lot ! First I must hear God 's word ! Then I believe what I hear to believe is to commit to in Jesus that God sent into the world ! I shall obtain everlasting life and I shall not come into condemnation but I have passed from death unto life ! Praise God I 'm Saved

Olabode's comment on 2014-08-05 00:51:02:

Despite uncountable miracles, teachings, healing, deliverance, etc Jesus performed, some people did not believe in Him, even people in His home town. When He was teaching, some did not believe that He was sent by God despite the repetitions He that sent me . So, whosoever that believes in His teaching and put all what he taught and heard about Him into practice and convinced personally that He was sent by God such person will have everlasting life, shall not be condemned he will pass from life to death.

Murray Atkin's comment on 2013-11-30 15:08:57:

This verse along with many others debunks 'once saved always saved' ... believeth on me - means to continue believing in Jesus the Christ & can only be known through KJV
