I understand the "other sde of the flood" to reference the days after the flood. I can see what some have referred to as a "New Age." Before the flood God saw the great wickedness of man and He destroyed mankind (Save Noah and his family; hence old age) After the flood God called Abraham into right relationship with Him and established the New Age; hence The Everlasting Covenant with His plan of Redemption.
