Luke 9:49.This episode is written by luke, perhaps because he might have heard from some people speaking about a man not essentially a close follower of neither jesus nor his diciples but he was able to does miracles on the name of Jesus. John did not mention either his name nor where did he see that man.The essence of mention of this verse is simply to tell to the whole world, one need not be a close diciple of Jesus but even one complete believes in Jesus and trusts him,any body can make miracles and preach the word of truth.luke simply wanted to make it clear to the Jews that, christ no necessarly belongs to Jews alone but to the entire man kind. but any how, bible pandits,Theologians,Interpreters, scholars are not very clear about thia verse and always tries to evade the explanation of this verse.Like wise there are many more episodes are there in bible which are kept under dark and not explained properly.Bible need to be recasted entirely with a logical, rational outlook. The concept of this verse is the as per in Jesus words " The one who believe with out seeing,is better than the one who believe on seeing".In other words " believe blidly" thats what it amounts to.
