Hello Jane They didn't they found another place to live in. As you said you can't kill spirit but by Gods Grace we can be Healed and set free of the power of the spirit operating. Luke 38-42 The Touch of The Masters Hand!

Amen, Brother Jesse!
Jesse's comment on 2021-11-16 09:46:42:
Jane,
If you look closely at the verse, it says that it was the herd of pigs that drowned. It does not tell us that the demons themselves drowned. It was the demons that entered into the pigs and caused them to violently run over the edge of the cliff and drown. But it was the pigs that drowned, not the demons.
Hope this helps!
Jane Zammit's comment on 2021-11-16 09:09:39:
A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, "Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them." 13 He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.
I cannot understand this verse. If the demons are spirits; how can they drown by just entering the pigs?

If you glance back at verse 14 of Mark 13, you will read:
"But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:"
This would occasion the prayer regarding their flight in verse 18.
This verse in turn refers back to Daniel's vision in Daniel chapters 10-12 which culminates with the abomination that maketh desolate in Daniel 12:11. Those hearing Jesus would likely remember from their history a desecration of the temple by a vile oppressor, Antiochus Epiphanes.
Before Judah and Israel are fully restored, they will endure their worst ever persecution at the hand of Satan. (Revelation 12)
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 also tells us, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
When the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in AD 70, the very generation Jesus was speaking to was subjected to a similar catastrophe, enslaved and scattered throughout the world.

On MARK 13:22
The Word of God is God (John 1:1) and not for any private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20). If it records in Rev. 12:9 that this whole world has been deceived it did not speak of a particular country, group of people, person or religion, it meant the whole world.
For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' how and by whom ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15) this whole world has been deceived and what mankind must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive (Matthew 7:7; John 14:17).
Only through Repentance will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters (Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1) and reveal to you how this whole world has been deceived (Rev. 12:9)..
The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God (Acts 26:18).
For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived (Rev. 12:9), and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive (John 14:17).
It is only by revelation of God that people will come to know the true Christ (Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1), and only then will you be able to overcome the spirit of this world (1 John 5:4; Rev. 3:21). It should be remembered that it is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:14).

Ted, you have read the account of Lazarus in John 11. After Lazarus died, it was the custom to entomb the body, just as Jesus was after He was crucified. A tomb was a cave-like structure, whether natural or hewn into the side of a hill, so after burying the dead, a large stone was rolled at the opening to prevent people & animals from entering. The dead body was wrapped in grave clothes, which was an elaborate binding from head to foot, maybe to preserve something of the body form during the decaying process. Lazarus was in the tomb for four days already so decay had already begun. But when Jesus came to the opened tomb, he called for dead Lazarus to rise from the dead. So here we have a dead man just come to life, probably having difficulty breathing & with blinking eyes, so (in answer to your question), Jesus ordered that he be released from those binding grave clothes so he could get up & come to him & his family. And Lazarus was alive for the rest of his appointed days, though the Jewish leaders later on wanted to kill him & Jesus because of this miraculous act by Jesus. So Lazarus had to face the prospect of death again, which he finally did at old age. A man acquainted with dead, in very truth!

In St. John 11, what did it mean when Jesus say loose him and let him go.
Jesse's comment on 2020-05-01 15:06:02:
John 11:44 is kind of humorous to me. When I picture in my mind Lazarus coming out of the grave, and he is wrapped in little 3 inch bandages from his foot to his neck, and then he has got a towel over his head, and he is coming out like one of those mummies you see in the movies. He can hardly walk. He is bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a towel. Jesus said unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
Basically, Jesus is just telling them to unwrap him and let him go.

Timothy Wayne George's comment on 2013-09-02 07:55:08:
When Jesus said pray that your flight be not in winter or on the Sabbath day, He was speaking to pregnant women in the tribulation period. This period begins with the 70th weeks of years in Daniel's prophecy which starts with the signing of the seven year peace treaty. The Antichrist comes to power when he signs what is referred to as a covenant with death and hell with Israel. Jesus said blessed the wombs that did not bare, because it will be very difficult for pregnant women in those days. This is not applicable today, but only during the tribulation period which will last seven years. Then the Messiah returns to set up His Kingdom.

Does this verse mean the second coming won't happen in the winter or on the Sabbath day?
