The King James uses language that is different from the nomanclature of today. Ass is a donkey and Jesus fulfilled Zechariah 9:9 when he rode the colt of a donkey. This was the meek and just Savior having salvation who came to save us from our sins. So thank God that the Highest became the lowest that he could die on the Cross and redeem mankind from his sins. Accept this truth and you will be saved, your name will be written in the Lamb's book of life.

Dear Ngulube. The commentary by Wesley explains this seemingly apparent error. Also, the NAS translation is a help. The verse is saying that our Lord was riding on a young donkey, the foal of a beast of burden. Hope this helps.

He sat on an ** and its colt. What does this visual depict, except that He did not sit in the usual manner of man on an **?l believe that Jesus Christ sat on the ** as on a throne and His feet rested on the colt as His footstool, otherwise how coudl He ride on the one as the image depicts Him here while the Holy Writ says on two.l stand to be corrected!
