It means the bridal church generation. The bridal church generation is the Grace Generation. Grace will not pass until we see things happen and the Son of man will appear in the sky in the clouds shining brightly.

This is not referring to a generation of people, but a chain of events. This generation or chain of events that Jesus spoke of, will continue until He returns with all he holy angels to give Christians immortal bodies and pour out God 's wrath on the unbelievers.

...it means the sub-generations from Jesus Christ to we the last sub-generation would not come to an end before we see Jesus coming back. Jesus would come in this very sub-generation of ours.
