As you might know, Matthew 27:35 refers directly to Psalm 22:18. However, David, the writer of that Psalm, was not considered a prophet, though in many of his Psalms (& a couple of other Psalms by other authors), words of prophecy are given (whether directly to the crucifixion or another aspect of Jesus' Life). Hence, they were considered of prophetical value even though the writer could have been considering himself or something else in his writing.

You may like to look at the following Psalms that have some messianic content: 2, 8, 16, 22, 34, 35, 40, 41, 45, 68, 69, 109, 110 & 118. There would be a verse, or several verses, which by prophetical inspiration make application to the Lord Jesus.

Hi Joe.

King David,

Psalms 22:18. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
