Please read about Elijah starting in 1 Kings Chapter 17 - he was a prophet in the Old Testament.

Galatians 5 Works of the Flesh's comment on 2020-11-28 00:55:45:

Galatians 5

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these:

Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders*, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

*anyone ever say to you; "you are dead to me?" That's a murder.

Mishael

Isaiah 55:9

James Bible

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

James Bible

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater

James Bible

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it

Chris's comment on 2020-11-26 00:45:09:

In that portion of Scripture, Jesus had cried out, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" (verse 46). The people around the cross who heard Jesus' cry thought He was calling out to Elias (Elijah), whereas Jesus was calling out to God His Father.

But the people were expecting Elijah to come before the Messiah, but they didn't know or failed to remember what Jesus said earlier, that John the Baptist did come in fulfilment of prophecy (Malachi 3:1) by coming in the spirit & power of Elijah (Matthew 11:7-14).
