And interestingly, at the time God spoke, Jesus had accomplished no miracles or did anything that would warrant that expression from God, EXCEPT that He was well pleased with Him BECAUSE He was His Son... NOT because of His works, but purely based on God 's love for Him. If you will notice God said that Jesus was His beloved Son in whom He is well pleased God was and is not proud of His Son Jesus and neither will He be proud of us His children No where in his word does He talk about being proud of anything because pride is not of God Pride and being proud in and or about anything will always go before a fall !!!God always talks about what pleases Him. So should I be in my every day walk of life. I told my son that I would not be proud of him but that I would be pleased with the accomplishments he makes in his life. He thought I was a fruitcake at first but then he realized and accepted that I would be pleased with him !!!!! You take a bold stand on what God has revealed to you in His word long enough and others will follow along even though they may not know and understand !!! Isn 't God GOOOOOOOD !!!!
