salt was is mined. interestingly enough, the saltiest salt is nearest the core, or vein. the less savoury is outer layers and closer to the elements. quite an analogy of the christian life do you not think?

Putting it plainly, carnal Christians are unsalty Christians, and that implies their spiritual condition is useless good for nothing fit only to be cast out! That is quite strong, but we must remember Who said it. Nevertheless, Jesus is referring to the spiritual condition, the state of the soul after salvation, which is either spiritual or carnal. Jesus views carnality as ineffectiveness, and that will affect one s verdict at the Judgment Seat. Cr. James Hollandsworth KingdomPreparation

...the Beatitudes are the spiritual qualities required for ruling and reigning with Jesus inheriting in His millennial kingdom. Those who do not qualify will enter the kingdom but not participate. They will be relegated to a realm that is outside the presence of the Lord and His light. Cr. James Hollandsworth Kingdom Preparation Seek ye First the Kingdom

I love it when the Lord reminds us that we need to be about our father's business. That if we are not then what good are we. We need to be able to season someone with the words of the Lord. We need to mind the way we live, let it be HOLY before the Lord and Man.
