Hi, I am so blessed to hear your son is now serving the Lord! My son is now in about the same situation. He was near death's door because of his past drug use and present drinking. I am praying God will be gracious to him one more time and he will repent and turn to the Lord. I think it means that if you have salvation and then walk away from God, that he will bring you back to him at some time, because he did start a good work in you and he will complete what he started in you, I find this scripture a bit confusing though.
