The sense is, that their children should stand and plead the cause of their parents against their adversaries in courts of judicature or publicly before the eyes of all, as Aben Ezra: and spiritually may design such of Messiah 's seed who are set for the defence of the Gospel, are valiant for the truth on earth, and earnestly contend for it meet the enemy in the gate, publicly oppose him, and behave themselves like men, and are strong.

Its one of my favorite verses because that where we see the holy trinity working as a unit. God is behind you all the time and Jesus is the way which means his in front walking the way first and the holy spirit puts is hand, which is your shelter above you

David was inlove with God who wanted allthe the time to be in touch with God. Many times he cold speak to his soul to atouch with God. Read psm 103. Soul can be wounded by many things and can draw itself away from God.3most things that can draw your soul frm God.1commiting sin can wound ur soul 2 ommiting to do the will of God,mans soul feal guilty. 3 Tough or bad things that ones passes thro.coz Devil uses the situation to discourage ur soul and think may be God is not with u. So David had known that the best thing is to praise God dispise the situation.

Paull, in Hebrews 6 19 refers to hope as an anchor of our souls. When we petition God for whatever reason, we wait patiently for His response, and as we wait, our hope is in His Word. The Psalmist states that God 's Word gives us hope.

I have cried unto thee, O Jehovah, for thou art my refuge, in the land of the living. Only the Lord can save us from the trouble of this world. Soon I will be done with the trouble of this world, for I'm going home to be with Jesus. Thou art my hiding place, and I will wait only for thee O thou Great Jehovah.

Timothy Wayne George's comment on 2013-06-12 04:48:22:

Thank God that He calls righteous people into our lives to smite us, so that we can keep our eyes on Jesus, the Author and finisher of our faith. Our prayer must continue to be for the wicked, that they will turn to God in repentance, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. The Psalmist prays to put a guard upon my lips, while I am in the presence of the wicked. This should be our prayer every day, so that we will not sin with our lips.
