As a Child I was taught that verse by my Mother which has always made me see myself as a 'Doorkeeper' ( someone special ) and also gave me a great sense of being loved throughout my life. Thank you for sharing.

I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord, in the presents thereof , than to dwell in the intense of the wickedness, in the presents of the devil . Our jobs are neither large or small, important or non important, layman than boastful, than to dwell one day in the presents of the devil and his angles.

There is no where better to be than in the presence of the Lord, where there is joy, peace and righteousness. The people of God are well aware that fellowshipping with the Father, the Son Jesus and the Holy Ghost, is better than dwelling anywhere in the world. Those who love righteousness would rather be in the presence of the Lord and around godly people, than around the wicked, who vex their souls.

A single day in the presence of the Lord is better than a thousand anywhere else....why because in the presence of the Lord there is joy,peace,delivarence...

Highly uplifting! I love the concept of preferring to be a door keeper in the Lord's courts rather than dwelling in the tents of wickedness.
