One has to logically question which version is more accurate before assuming the KJV is incorrect. Research the teams of scholars and years of scrutiny and work that went into a translation from 1611...which is written prior to secular humanism 's subtle hand on the Church evidenced by the current lack of salt and light in this world.

I think it a shame - a travesty in fact - that translators should feel free to write what John did not. To whit: The expression,"I am the Alpha and the Omega." Said expression does not occur in the Westcott and Hort Greek text. It is obvious and dishonest ploy to make Jesus appear to be his own father, namely Jehovah. It is then in disagreement with verse 8 and also at odds with Revelation 21:6
