CARLOS RAMIREZ TREVINO's comment on 2020-05-12 17:23:32:

In Daniel 10:21, Gabriel makes reference to the Book of Truth and what is written in it. Is what is written in the Book of Truth or Book of Life, as it is called in the NT, what God knew would happen or what God wrote He would do? Are the names written in the Book of Life those God knew would believe, or those God decided to save? Are the vessels of Rom 9 what God knew He was going to do, or what God determined to do? Are God's Plans, plans or things He knew would take place?

God created with a Purpose. He created with a Plan. Can an architect design a house without a Purpose? Can he build it without a Plan? To say that God only knew what was going to happen, make His statements about what He is going to do, meaningless. Did God just simply know the earth was going to be flooded and warned Noah? Or did God do it on Purpose? Did God promise not to destroy the earth again with a flood, because He knew that was what He was going to do? Is God a seer that merely reveals what He sees in the future?

There is a misconception that because God is eternal and not subject to time and space, He can observe past, present and future. And that therefore, He knows everything. Is He like the train hobbyist that builds a train set with hills and roads and stands over it observing everything that takes place. So, did God create the universe and mankind, or was it something He just happened to know would happen on its own?

If the Future has control, does God? I can be omniscient and know how everything functions, yet not know what I am going to do tomorrow. God is neither limited by His omniscience, nor by the Future. Have a look at Isa 23:8, "Who planned this against Tyre...? The LORD of Hosts planned it, to defile all its glorious beauty, to disgrace all the renowned of the earth." Not only is God telling us that He Planned it, He is telling us He Planned it with a Purpose.

Your thinking is that God created, then stepped back and let things happen. But is that the case?

This comment is for Ann. Your reference to Isaiah 45:5 and 6 is supported by Jesus 's own prayer to his God and father the night before he was to be betrayed, tried, humiliated and tortured to death. At John 17:3, Jesus identifies the only true God.Trinitarians will always have trouble with the word "only ".

I have been a christian all my life. I am old now and am confused. In Isaiah god says over and over "I am the only god " I know about the trinity but it seems to me we are giving too much credit to Jesus. Please help m . Isaiah was written before Jesus birth when god said "I am the only god "

I am the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord God Almighty. According to english dictionary there is no grammatical difference between mighty to almighty....who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. Who is when He is alive...who was He was a dead man... who is to come raised from the dead...He is now living... and He is coming back. The Almighty God is coming back, according to the Revelation 1 8...the person how is Jesus. Rev. 1 8 is not talking about the Father nor the Spirit. The reallity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is not hidden to believers it is only a story to does who do not regard the Lord Jesus as their saviour. Let us look at the Elijah 's drama with the idle worshippers...after he had the altar of the Lord raised, he dug a trench and ask the people to pour some water in, and the act of pouring some water were repeated for three times as Elijah orders them to do why three times why not four times or five times or six, seven, eight, nine, or ten times but the prophet Elijah had the water poured in the trench three times... looking at these acts, one could picture out the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Just like the same activity of the Cherubim and Seraphim crying Holy, holy, holy! So why these three times of Holy, holy, holy! And not four times holy or five times or more?! 1John 5 20 says that the Lord is the true God and the eternal life.

Alfa and Omega is GOD Himself in the old tastement Jesus in the New tastement God used the three title so that we can understand Him better in creation He was God the Father in redemption God the son and in manifestation God the Holyspirit those are the offices God used He has never changed He is the same yesterday today and forever Alfa and Omega God blessings

I can understand the alpha and omega the beginning and end of all creations I also can understand what happens to all who pass away and are also given misunderstood information as to where the soul will return As so I have no further comments on that if you or anyone else have read than you should be able to figure out that And once saved there is no turning back It better not to have known than to have known and turned away

Josiah ogbonnaya's comment on 2013-12-27 21:56:02:

In verse 1 of this chapter, it clearly stated that this is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. So I think (rev1:8) is clearly referring to the Lord Jesus who is the exact express image of God almighty, if this verse was referring to God the father, i think it would use God/LORD. in (rev 19:13) and his name is called The Word of God. You now ask urself is there a different between God and his Word? Personally i don't think there is a different between God and his Word and that's the reason the bible says in (john1:1-3) IN the beginning was the Word Jesus, and the Word Jesus was with God, and the Word Jesus was God. The same Word Jesus was with God in the beginning. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. See also (1timothy 1 13) and without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifest in the fresh justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto gentiles, believed on in the world, received up unto glory. So i think if rev 1:8 was referring to God the father it would have use a word like, LORD/God not Lord for instance (psalms 110;1) the LORD said to my Lord, or (Deut 6;4) hear o Israel the Lord our God is one. If you observes this verses you will clearly see this referring to the Father and Son which it clearly stated

Chaz serverant of lord jesus's comment on 2013-06-05 14:15:29:

in revelation our lord says "i am alpha and omega the beginning and the end" and at the end of revelation it is revealed that lord jesus is "the word of god".. Jhon 1:1 says "in the beginning was the word, and the word was with god, AND THE WORD WAS GOD". so ultimately LORD JESUS IS GOD and has announced in the beginning of revelation that HE HAS THE KEYS TO DEATH AND HELL. in all Lord JESUS IS GOD. THE FATHER. THE SON. AND HOLY SPIRIT. IN ONE.

Antoni Nicolas's comment on 2011-03-09 02:42:56:

Yes "Alpha and the Omega" refers to the Almighty God. The reason being is that Almighty is always a term that God is being addressed , whereas Jesus is
mentioned as a mighty God but never the Almighty.

The term also appears in Rev. 21:6, the last part of verse 7 reads " I will be his God and he will be my son" (NASV 2008).Jesus always refers to his followers as "BROTHERS" whereas God refers to the followers of Jesus as his SONS. So the term Alpha and Omega in verse 21:6 also applies to God. It is therefore logical that in verse 22:13 the term also must be applied to God.
