They had not believed the new covenant that was brought by the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the salvation through grace and by faith So they remained enveloped in the darkness of the law and using their carnal wisdom and traditional beliefs they preached righteousness which they believed traditionally and not righteousness from God which comes by taking Jesus Christ as your personal savior and Lord
