From the previous verse it seems that the Beloved really does not find herself attractive from a physical standpoint, which is sad even in current times. She sacrificed her appearance for the sake of her mother's children. She seems to think that her Lover is pedestals above her in terms of attractiveness. Honestly, I've become invested with the intricacies of the language and the characters that I hope she finds to love herself just as much, if not more, than she loves her Lover.

I thought the woman was speaking at this point and that she was the one who had black or very dark skin. Either way the people of the Bible, especially the Old Testament were of the Middle East and therefore a shade of brown light or dark they were darker than pale skinned Europeans I thought I would add that part for people like James who might have an image of pale skinned people when reading the Bible .

I think about dead fish selfish. If you don't have the Holy Spirit to guide you or you continue to do wrong to Gods people there will be consequences. People need to understand that the symbol of dead fish means a fish without the living water. Most people find times where they run into self centered individuals. These people can be in your very own family so you have to be on guard to take care of your own life before you allow someone to use you up.

This verse is not only amazing but also a revelation, which I didn't get in my over 40 years of attending and working in d church. Truly, it's only the Spirit that reveal the secret things...

I was very surprised when I stumbled on this verse. I said to myself so King Solomon was a BLACKMAN and modern history hide it from the world. So, if King Solomon was a BLACKMAN then Jesus Christ must be a BLACKMAN too.
